One logo, several versions
A single logo file is rarely enough. A wide logo works on a storefront but is unreadable in a square social profile. A full-color logo may not survive embroidery or a one-color print run. We design the logo as a small family from the start, so each place it appears has a version made for it.
| Version | Used for |
|---|---|
| Primary (horizontal) | Signs, website header, letterhead |
| Stacked | Square spaces, packaging, shirts |
| Mark only | Profile pictures, app icons, stamps, favicons |
| One color and reversed | Embroidery, vinyl, single-color print, dark backgrounds |
How we get there
We start with your brief and a short look at your competitors, so the logo stands apart from them. You see two or three directions in rough form, pick one, and we refine it: shape, spacing, type and color. We test every version at small sizes before it's final.
Logo refreshes
If customers already know your logo, a refresh keeps what they recognize and fixes what doesn't work: thin lines that vanish when small, too many colors, a font that's hard to read. Changes can be small enough that customers barely notice and large enough that your signs and shirts finally look sharp.
Questions
What files will I get?
Vector files (SVG, PDF and EPS) for printers and sign makers, PNG files for screens, and a one-page sheet showing which version to use where.
Can you match my logo to my existing sign?
Send a photo of the sign and any files you have. For a refresh we can keep the colors and shapes that already work.
